God. This should be a spy drama, not a soap opera.. And yet I still watch this shit :\ .. Dude the relationship between Carrie and Brody IS the show. to really push the Carrie/Brody love story thing, especially in season 2. God. Really not sure what else to say about tonight's Homeland. It took four episodes but Brody (Damian Lewis) and Carrie (Claire Danes) finally come Renew the Relationship: Roya Hammad (Zuleikha Robinson), the pretty journalist/Nazir's groupie, Claire Danes and Damian Lewis dish on season 2. Carrie and Brody attend Walden's memorial service at Langley. At the same time, the Navy holds a ceremony to bury Abu Nazir at sea, which Saul oversees.
Carrie reveals to Brody that she's decided to forsake her career and be with him. Brody looks out of the window and is surprised to see that his car has been moved and is now parked right outside the building where the memorial service is being held.
As Carrie processes what is happening, the car explodes, leveling a large portion of the building.
Carrie holds Brody at gunpoint, accusing him of orchestrating the attack. Brody is steadfast in his innocence, saying that he had no motive, and that they were all set up by Abu Nazir, who sacrificed Roya and her team on a decoy attack, and even sacrificed his own life, in order to let everyone's guard down, clearing the way for the bombing of Langley. Carrie seems convinced but tells Brody that nobody else will believe him, and that they need to go on the run immediately.
Saul surveys the damage at Langley and is distraught to learn that the death toll is near and rising, and that Carrie was present at the ceremony but is unaccounted for and presumed dead.

He gets a call from Mira Sarita Choudhurywho is relieved to learn that Saul survived, and says that she is returning to the U. Saul is also informed he will be meeting with the President as he is the new Acting Director.

Carrie takes Brody to a storage unit where she has hidden some cash and a fake passport for herself. They then go to get a fake passport made for Brody. On a television, they see that al-Qaeda has taken responsibility for the attack, and released Brody's confession video which he made for the planned suicide attack against the Vice President in season 1 to the media, firmly placing him as the culprit.
As the video plays on the news, the Brody family is shown at home watching in horror. Carrie and Brody head to the Canada—United States borderplanning to cross it on foot and head for Montreal. When they reach the border, Brody realizes that Carrie isn't coming with him. As they say goodbye, Carrie promises Brody that she will clear his name. Carrie returns to Langley, where Saul is reciting the Kaddish while standing among the rows and rows of dead bodies.

Naturally, Carrie and Virgil are outside in the van listening to this charming domestic interlude and stressing out because Brody is running late for his latest powwow with terrorist glamour-puss Roya. Inevitably, she decides that the only way to salvage the situation is for her to risk exposing Brody's CIA connections to the entire neighborhood by barging in as soon as Jess leaves.
She finds Brody curled up in a corner, his Marine-tough facade utterly shattered. And so Brody, shoulders hunched, hands in his pockets, eyes darting in every direction, arrives late for his meeting with Roya and winds up telling her off. She has Virgil cut the tracking on Brody's phone and then runs out to intercept him for an impromptu reenactment of their sex-and-manipulation fest in "The Cabin.
Brody confides in Carrie that he's never felt more alone: Burnt every bridge -- with Nazir, with the CIA, with my family. I'm more alone now than I was at the bottom of that hole in Iraq. He's been cracking under the pressure of playing the hero, playing the future vice president, playing the upstanding husband and father when he knows deep down that he is none of those things.
But Carrie knows his secrets and still loves him. As that realization is sinking in, she shares her vision of their future, where they join forces to stop Nazir and that act of heroism erases the stain of everything that's come before.
Next thing you know, they are humping away like jackrabbits as Quinn, Saul and the rest of the CIA's pervert squad listen in. Quinn wants to haul Brody in, but Saul urges him to give Carrie more time: Carrie goes rogue, Quinn and Estes freak out, Saul buys her time and she winds up being proven right.

The exact same thing happens again when Brody winds up driving with Roya out to some god-forsaken spot in the middle of nowhere. After promising Quinn to "stay the fuck back," Carrie insists on doing a ride-by, which reveals that Brody and Roya have been joined by the mystery terrorist who shot up the tailor's shop in Gettysburg.
This time, Carrie wants to move in, but Quinn insists on waiting. They've got the targets surrounded -- the smart move is to wait and see what they do next. But no sooner has Saul noticed that the clearing would be a great place to land a helicopter than a chopper lands, scooping up Brody, Roya and their anonymous friend.
Meanwhile, Dana has been busy bonding with Uncle Mike, who is apparently the type of home chef who wears a kitchen towel over his scrupulously toned shoulder. Dana musters the courage to ask him about his relationship with Jess -- was it hard for him to step back when Brody emerged from his spider hole after all those years?
Now she's more determined than ever to disturb the peace of that poor girl whose mother she killed. Mike gives her a lift in his muscle car, which idles outside as Dana knocks on the door. Somehow, the girl immediately knows what this means:
